The endoscopic technique is to insert small light sources, cameras and surgical instruments through a keyhole-sized incision and guides the operation performed by the surgical instrument with the image transmitted to the monitor.
It causes less damage than traditional surgery. Endoscopic surgery has many advantages: shorter hospital stay (most cases), less pain after surgery, earlier return to work, and less scarring.
